![]() Hey, you might not think you're playing beginner level games riddled with blunders, but you probably are. The rest of you: yes, i get it, i make tons of blunders and am a beginner. I really just thought of them as hanging pieces, which wasn’t right. I didnt think about blunders that way, but now I see what you mean. Its a minor labelling thing lol, maybe it just hurts that after hours and hours of learning I’ve yet to reach even the proper “beginner” level.Įdit2: The kinder of you folks who realize not everyone thinks about ratings and chess culture all the time, and explained how blunders are different across levels in a nice and informative way: yall changed my mind, for real. Just a random thought, and not mad about it, but 800 elo on should not be designated beginner. ![]() And if i played against someone now in real life who knows the moves but doesn’t play much (a real beginner) they would get swamped. Maybe i’m just getting paired with ppl in my exact situation and the elo value has dropped compared to skills/knowledge, but I am not playing beginner level games riddled with blunders. ![]() I’ve been in between 700 and 800 for a while now, watching vids, doing puzzles, slow but sure improvement. ![]()
